To reach the goals described, all Von Roll employees need to base their actions on clearly defined values. A process has thus been implemented that strongly promotes the accountability of each individual Von Roll employee.

We are striving to create a corporate culture that is results-oriented and has our customers’ interests as its core. Our value system, which acts as a guideline for our employees when dealing with day-to-day challenges, defines five core values: leadership, customer-orientation, cooperation, innovation and integrity. We share our knowledge through the Corporate University: we discuss the latest developments in insulation technology with technicians, engineers and managers. Our doors are open just as wide to our employees as they are to our customers.

In addition to the strategic realignment of our company, we will focus our attention on improving the operating results of our business units. Our goal is to steadily increase margins. We plan to achieve this goal by being successful among our global competitors and providing outstanding performance to our customers. Innovation, customer orientation and global competitiveness are the three main areas of our focus. If we manage to put them into practice, we will successfully overcome the challenges posed by new markets. We have identified a number of measures, some of which have already been implemented, that can boost the operational efficiency of the business units.

We are creating a business portfolio geared toward growth and profitability that we can successfully deploy as part of a dual strategy for the future:

• Further Expansion of Our Core Business: We will continue to further expand our strengths. We want to further extend our core business in insulation products, systems and services, both internally and through acquisitions.
• Continuation of Our Acquisition Strategy: Within the scope of our acquisition strategy, we will invest in key technologies that will play an increasingly important role as global trends develop. These include, for example, the supply of scarce resources such as energy and water and components to support various industries.

• Active portfolio management is thus an important cornerstone of our strategy and the basis for our performance. We will orient our portfolio around profitable growth. Our strategic objective is to be number one or two in all markets that we are active in. By successfully expanding our portfolio, particularly in the direction of forward-looking and technologically intensive business segments, we anticipate significant added value for the company and hence, an increase in value for all investors.

Integrity is at the center of all of our actions: for us, it means conducting ourselves honestly and respectfully in observance of all legal and ethical requirements as well as loyalty to Von Roll.
