The VS 240 grade is existing since many years and is already successfully used by major traction motor producers and repair shops. The very good thermal ageing resistance of VS 240 makes it well adapted for use in high performance motors. The reduced thickness increase due to insulation of the latest version VS 240 VF which is the same as the taped conductors, gives the possibility to motor manufacturers to use a cost effective alternative to polyimide taped wires where outstanding motor lifetimes are not required.
