Under REACH the flow of information between the actors in the supply chain will be required downstream as in the past as well as upstream in the future. This means, that the downstream user of a chemical has to inform his supplier about the application and the resulting exposition for humans and environment , as far as this information has not been included in the registration dossier already. Finally this information must be included into the registration dossier at ECHA by the Manufacturer or Importer of the substance or by the downstream user. Extent and content of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) will be expanded by an Exposition Scenario (ES) and Risk Management Measures (RMM) for the safe use of the substance or the preparation. For a substance a Chemical Safety Report (CSR) based on a Chemical Safety Assessment (CSA) must be provided, if an annual volume of 10 tons is exceeded.
