Von Roll offers various courses on electrical insulation technologies for electric machines both to our customers and to our own technical staff. Due to international participation, they are held in English.
The course content focuses on the insulation of electric rotating machines. We recognised a growing interest in low-voltage insulation technologies, and now offer separate trainings both for high-voltage applications and for low-voltage applications.
Participants have widely varying needs, and we give both standard and advanced high-voltage insulation trainings. Clients and internal staff can participate in either or both. The standard training is a five-day course in which participants learn about the basics of electrical insulation technologies and materials, as well as their application to high-voltage rotating machines. This course takes place at our global headquarters in Au/Wädenswil, Switzerland (site info) and is offered at least four times per year. The scheduled standard courses in 2010 are:
The advanced insulation training expands on the standard training. It focuses on discussion and practical work in the application and high-voltage laboratories and in the production. The course is offered in our production facility in Breitenbach, Switzerland (site info). One course has been scheduled so far for 2010; further courses can be arranged based on demand. The next course is planned for:
The low-voltage insulation courses teach the basics of the materials and applications of electrical insulation technologies for low-voltage rotating machines. Like the high-voltage courses, they supplement presentations with practical, hands-on work. These trainings are offered regionally in North America and Europe:
Von Roll Corporate University also offers upon request courses on electrical insulation specially designed for customer requirements.
