Von Roll achie­ves ope­ra­tio­nal tur­naround in finan­cial year 2017

Brei­ten­bach, March 13, 2018 — In the finan­cial year 2017, Von Roll suc­cess­fully mana­ged to turn its ope­ra­ti­ons around after several years of los­ses, achie­ving a posi­tive EBIT of CHF 4.5 mil­lion (pre­vious year: CHF –17.3 mil­lion). Over­all, Group sales incre­a­sed by 4.1 % to CHF 332.4 mil­lion. Order intake also clim­bed by 2.8 % year-on-year to CHF 336.1 million.

At CHF 5.3 mil­lion, cash flow from ope­ra­ting acti­vi­ties also impro­ved signi­fi­cantly com­pa­red with CHF − 10.5 mil­lion in the pre­vious year. The equity ratio incre­a­sed slightly to 28.2% (pre­vious year: 26.2%).

The net result for the finan­cial year 2017 of CHF −4.8 mil­lion repres­ents a con­si­derable impro­ve­ment year-on-year of CHF 25.5 mil­lion (pre­vious year: CHF –30.3 mil­lion). The main rea­son for the nega­tive net result was non-recur­ring spe­cial char­ges in con­nec­tion with the water busi­ness (Von Roll BHU Umwelt­tech­nik GmbH), which had already  par­ti­ally been sold as of 8 Febru­ary 2018.
