Von Roll wins first serial order for its new deve­lo­ped pot­ting products

Brei­ten­bach, Febru­ary 9, 2022 – One of the worl­d’s lar­gest bat­tery manu­fac­tu­rers, based in South Korea, has now qua­li­fied the latest pot­ting resin from Von Roll for mass pro­duc­tion of truck bat­te­ries for the first time. The Von Roll pro­duct clearly out­per­for­med the com­pe­ti­tion in all tech­ni­cal requi­re­ments. In addi­tion, it is based on a par­ti­cu­larly envi­ron­ment­ally friendly for­mu­la­tion without sol­vents and cri­ti­cal hazar­dous chemicals.

Pot­ting resins play an important role in the con­struc­tion of high-per­for­mance drive bat­te­ries in the rapidly gro­wing e‑mobility mar­ket. They faci­li­tate effec­tive heat dis­si­pa­tion and thus incre­ase the per­for­mance and lifespan of batteries.

The new pot­ting resin is pro­du­ced near Turin at the Tro­fa­rello site, which reached full cer­ti­fi­ca­tion to the most deman­ding qua­lity stan­dards in the auto­mo­tive indus­try last year.
