Von Roll with strong incre­ase in pro­fit and sales

• Net sales amount to CHF 218.6 million
• EBIT at CHF 21.9 million 
• Group ear­nings after taxes (EAT) at CHF 30.8 million

Brei­ten­bach, March 16, 2022 — Von Roll looks back on a strong finan­cial year 2021. Net sales for 2021 amoun­ted to CHF 218.6 mil­lion (2020: CHF 212.2 mil­lion). Taking into account chan­ges in the scope of con­so­li­da­tion and before cur­rency effects, sales incre­a­sed by CHF 24.3 mil­lion (+12.5 %). Order intake impro­ved stron­gly by 19.2 % to CHF 234.8 mil­lion — com­pa­red to CHF 197.0 mil­lion in the pre­vious year, exclu­ding the dis­con­ti­nued plants in France.

The ope­ra­ting result (EBIT) amoun­ted to CHF 21.9 mil­lion fol­lowing a loss of CHF — 16.6 mil­lion in the pre­vious year. Group ear­nings after taxes amoun­ted to CHF 30.8 mil­lion. This inclu­des one-off other ope­ra­ting income from pro­perty sales as well as insurance pay­ments rela­ted to a fire inci­dent at the pro­duc­tion site in Brei­ten­bach, Switz­er­land. After its suc­cess­ful rea­lign­ment the Group reports its best results for more than 12 years.

Von Roll has kicked off the  finan­cial year 2022 with a high order back­log and a con­ti­nu­ally strong order intake. While the sup­ply situa­tion on the glo­bal raw mate­ri­als mar­kets remains tense, the Group is coun­ter­ac­ting this cir­cum­s­tance with expan­ded stock levels and con­ti­nuous price adjus­t­ments. There are cur­r­ently no immediate sales risks rela­ted to the mili­tary con­flict in Ukraine and to sanc­tions impo­sed on Russia.
