Von Roll with strong increase in profit and sales
Net sales amount to CHF 218.6 million EBIT at CHF 21.9 million Group earnings after taxes (EAT) at CHF 30.8 million
Von Roll looks back on a strong financial year 2021. Net sales for 2021 amounted to CHF 218.6 million (2020: CHF 212.2 million). Taking into account changes in the scope of consolidation and before currency effects, sales increased by CHF 24.3 million (+12.5 %). Order intake improved strongly by 19.2 % to CHF 234.8 million — compared to CHF 197.0 million in the previous year, excluding the discontinued plants in France.
The operating result (EBIT) amounted to CHF 21.9 million following a loss of CHF — 16.6 million in the previous year. Group earnings after taxes amounted to CHF 30.8 million. This includes one-off other operating income from property sales as well as insurance payments related to a fire incident at the production site in Breitenbach, Switzerland. After its successful realignment the Group reports its best results for more than 12 years.
Von Roll has kicked off the financial year 2022 with a high order backlog and a continually strong order intake. While the supply situation on the global raw materials markets remains tense, the Group is counteracting this circumstance with expanded stock levels and continuous price adjustments. There are currently no immediate sales risks related to the military conflict in Ukraine and to sanctions imposed on Russia.
